Go-Kart

Go-Kart Adrenalin, speed, competition... Stepping into Michael Schumacher’s racing shoes... That’s go-kart! Mind that Schumacher himself started his career as a go-kart pilot. In Riga and in the whole of Latvia there are several karting tracks where everyone can test their driving skills.

The largest and most up-to-date indoor karting track in the Baltic States is located in Riga, in the entertainment centre “GO Planet” at 2b Gunāra Astras Str. It has the most advanced karting track timer called Rock Timing whereas the safety of karting drivers is ensured by TecPro barriers (the same as in F1) and experienced instructors.

At 2 S. Eizenstein Str. by the Biķernieki sports facilities in Riga a new go-kart hall “Speed Tribe” has opened where you can give in to the irresistible pull of speed and have a delicious meal at the restaurant.

Other Latvian cities too have their own go-kart halls. For example, “F1” at 11c Mūrmuižas Str. in Valmiera and in Liepāja look for go-karts in the centre for active tourism “Hobiparks” at 3/5 Flotes Str.

There are also excellent outdoor tracks where international car-racing competitions take place, though the tracks are open for general public as well. Go-kart arena in Kandava has the newest and most advanced karting track in Latvia whereas the sports complex “333” in the “Silapriedes” in Riga District accommodates a 1,2 km long karting track. Another though much shorter open-air track “Nodes” is located in the Īslīce rural district in the vicinity of Bauska – in summer it offers rent of four go-karts.
