Mikeldiena harvest festival and fair "Savour the

Miķeļi is a time when days and nights are equally long; it’s a day when harvesting should be done and the harvest – stored in the granary.

This day is celebrated with a big festival, when Jumis – a symbol of harvest and fertility – is being honoured.

During the fair guests will have an opportunity to buy autumn goods and products made by local craftsmen, learn more about customs and traditions, take part in creative workshops and to feast with delicacies made by the masters of flavour from Valmiermuiža.

The fair and celebration “Savour the Flavour at Valmiermuiža” is held eight times a year, honouring Latvian annual customs.
