Already 5,000 runners have registered for this year's "Nordea" Riga Marathon

5,000 participants from 33 countries have signed up for this year's "Nordea" Riga Marathon. Most of them have registered for the five-kilometer mini-marathon.

5,000 participants from 33 countries have signed up for this year's "Nordea" Riga Marathon. Most of them have registered for the five-kilometer mini-marathon.

2,248 people have signed up for the five-kilometer fun run, while 1,282 will run the half-marathon. 760 are planning to participate in the ten-kilometer marathon event.

Most participants - 3,945 - are from Latvia, 268 runners are from Finland, 137 from Lithuania, 119 from Estonia, and 95 from Germany.

Traditionally, several companies have also registered for this year's marathon event. "Nordea" will have 506 runners, "Citadele banka" - 95, "Swedbank" - 92, "Stockmann" - 81, "Rimi" - 65 participants.

As reported, this year's "Nordea" Riga Marathon will be held on March 22.
