The Japanese actress has gained attention and recognition, playing in Maris Martinsons' movie "Amaya". It was highly acclaimed, and last October it was included in the list of 65 movies published by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to vie for a nomination as Best Foreign Film.
Tomorrow, on August 18, Riga Mayor Nils Usakovs (Harmony Center) will award the actress with a special document attesting her special status.
