The international film festival "Baltic Pearl" will take place in Riga in September. This year's program will include both the most outstanding films from 2010 and 2011, that have excited audiences and juries at the Cannes, Venice and Berlin film festivals, and a retrospective parade.

Audiences will be able to rate the best in cinema achievement, enjoy the talented performances of actors and actresses, and to see on the big screen many full length films from the golden era in the theme programs "Hollywood Legends - Cinema Symbols of the Period", "The Return of the Masterpieces", and "Cinema & The Classics", as the news agency LETA was informed by the festival organizers.

"Baltic Pearl" will take place from September 15 to September 25, but tickets can be purchased in advance at all "Bilesu serviss" sale points. It is also possible to purchase festival passes to films from various programs.

The pass "Daytime cinema lunch" costs LVL 15 and contains ten tickets to films that will be shown in Riga Congress Centre on work days at 14.00 or 15.00 p.m., but those who prefer to enjoy cinema in the evenings, are offered to buy two types of passes "Cinema gourmet" - for LVL 25 that includes ten tickets or for LVL 40 that includes twenty tickets. The regular ticket price in box-office will be LVL 3.50 - 5.

All films in the festival will be screened in full length in their original languages with interpretation in headphones in Latvian or Russian.

More information about the programs, tickets, special offers and shows at the festival "Baltic Pearl" will be available at the end of July at the festival's homepage: "www.balticpearl.lv".
