"airBaltic" VP Janis Vanags also reported that the total number of rentals in the month of September increased fivefold, compared to September 2010.
He also pointed out that local residents are using "BalticBike" more and more, making up almost 70%. Last summer, locals and tourists were of equal proportion - 50/50.
Vanags commented that the reason for this is probably the affordable rental fee - one hour, 70 santims.
Currently, there are 8 "BalticBike" outlets in Riga, 3 in Jurmala.
