The popular Latvian pop/rock band ''Brainstorm'' (''Prâta vçtra'') closed its summer tour with a concert at a packed ''Skonto'' Stadium in Riga last night.

As LETA observed, several thousand attended the concert at the stadium in central Riga.

In a special surprise, Olympic BMX gold medalist Maris Strombergs got on stage with the band to perform a song, which got a huge standing ovation.

The band also sang some of its greatest hit, to the delight of the audience.

As reported, ''Brainstorm'' is so popular in Latvia that the band’s concerts usually attract more people than concert performed by international music stars. It is likely that over 25,000 gather at last night's concert.

The band was on tour to promote its new album - ''Vēl viena klusā daba''.
