"Dancis" and "Teiksma" honored as best dance ensembles at Song and Dance Festival

University of Latvia's traditional dance ensemble "Dancis" was voted the best folk dance ensemble and "Ave Sol" concert organization's folk dance group "Teiksma" the best youth dance ensemble during the Song and Dance Festival's competition of dance ensembles on Monday.

University of Latvia's traditional dance ensemble "Dancis" was voted the best folk dance ensemble and "Ave Sol" concert organization's folk dance group "Teiksma" the best youth dance ensemble during the Song and Dance Festival's competition of dance ensembles on Monday.

In total, nine dance ensembles and fourteen youth dance ensembles participated in the competition.

These ensembles were selected from a total of 603 groups by the local juries all over Latvia from February to April this year.
