First fountains begin working in Riga

From 3rd May, the first outdoor water fountains begin operation in park and squares throughout Riga, LETA was informed by Riga City Council spokesman Vjaceslavs Stepanenko.

From 3rd May, the first outdoor water fountains begin operation in park and squares throughout Riga, LETA was informed by Riga City Council spokesman Vjaceslavs Stepanenko.

The Bastejkalns Park fountain, the Kronvalda Park fountain and the fountain outside the Latvian National Opera will all be turned on for the first time of the season today.

Nine of Riga's 12 outdoor fountains will be turned on gradually throughout May.
