North America's largest documentary film festival "Hot Docs", which will be held April 28 - May 8, will feature two Latvian movies.

"Hot Docs" will feature Latvian documentaries "Gimenes lietas" (Family Instinct), directed by Andris Gauja, and "Ka tev klajas, Rudolf Ming?" (How are You doing, Rudolf Ming?), directed by Roberts Rubins.

This year, the festival will feature more than 170 films from 35 countries around the world. Both Latvian documentaries are included in "World Showcase" program.

"Gimenes lietas" has been nominated for the Russian Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences award "Nika" as Best Film of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Baltic States. "Gimenes lietas" also received an award in last year's "East Silver Marke" documentaries' market in the Czech Republic.

"Ka tev klajas, Rudolf Ming?" was named the best Baltic movie during last year's international film festival "Arsenals". The movie's world premiere will take place tomorrow at Hong Kong movie fair "Filmart".
