Kipkorir was four seconds ahead of Japan's Tomoi Shimizu at 2 hours, 16 minutes and 53.3 seconds. Kenya's Pharis Irungu Kimani came in third.
Alexandrova was clocked at 2 hours, 37minutes and 37 seconds, almost four minutes ahead of second place winner Miriam Vangari (Kenya).
Of local Latvians running the full distance today the winners were Andrejs Jesko (10th place) and Indra Pluce (fifth place).
As reported, over 18,000 are running today, including 1,850 from foreign countries. The most popular distance - the 5 km - has 10,973 participants.
