The latest ''The Killers'' album has been named after their Las Vegas studio.
The album was produced by a team of five producers - Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor, ''U2'' and Bob Dylan producer Daniel Lanois, ''Day & Age'' producer Stuart Price and rock producer Brendan O'Brien, responsible for Bruce Springsteen and other rock records.
In February 2010, when ''The Killers'' had returned from numerous concerts and trips, which made up their 18-month world tour, they were at a crossroads. They had sold over 15 million copies of their albums, visited every corner of the globe, and become one of the world’s most popular rock bands, but they found themselves needing time to put everything into perspective and to take a break from each other and from the trips.
The musicians recognized that this break was very helpful - at that time Brandon, Mark and Ronnie devoted themselves on solo projects, after a while coming together for a festival in Chile and realizing the need to create new songs. After a few days, the song, which was created by their combined efforts, was ''Battle Born’s'' lead single – ''Runaways''.
''The Killers'' band was formed in 2001 in Las Vegas. There are only a few bands that were created in the early 2000s or during the last 10 - 15 years, who have gained such popularity as ''The Killers''. Their debut album ''Hot Fuss'' became one of 2004's most popular music releases with four singles. In 2005, ''The Killers'' also won their first ''Grammy Award''.
As the latest studio album ''Battle Born'' has been released and has become the best combination created by the band, all band members passionately wish to take to the road and re-introduce the world to ''The Killers'', starting with a series of American and European concert shows in the summer of 2013.
Tickets to the Riga concert can be purchased at all ''Bilesu Serviss'' ticket outlets from February 7.
