''Latvia Week'' kicks off in Tokyo

From today until September 13, at the ''Athalie'' gallery in Tokyo, a serious of events called ''Latvia Week'' will kick-off, which is being organized by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency in cooperation with the Latvian Embassy in Japan.

From today until September 13, at the ''Athalie'' gallery in Tokyo, a serious of events called ''Latvia Week'' will kick-off, which is being organized by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency in cooperation with the Latvian Embassy in Japan.

During the event, a special photo exhibition about Latvia will be featured, as well as Latvian language lessons, a tourism seminar and presentations about Latvia. ''Latvia Week'' will also organize taste sampling of Latvian produced products, as well as special musical night, LETA was informed by the Latvian Embassy in Japan.

Books and informative materials about Latvia will also be available to visitors.

This will be the first such kind event organized in Japan, with the aim of promoting the country.
