The airport's retail area will be managed by "TAV Airports Holding", the leading airport operator in Turkey. Meanwhile, Turkish company "TAV", in cooperation with its subsidiary "ATU" and "Heinemann", will be in charge of the duty free area.

The official opening ceremony will be held on March 5.

The reconstruction of this area was launched at the start of 2011. It was initially planned that EUR 2 million (LVL 1.4 million) will be invested in it.
