Next week, Riga International Airport will open its renovated duty free and retail areas.

Next week, Riga International Airport will open its renovated duty free and retail areas.

The airport's retail area will be managed by "TAV Airports Holding", the leading airport operator in Turkey. Meanwhile, Turkish company "TAV", in cooperation with its subsidiary "ATU" and "Heinemann", will be in charge of the duty free area.

The official opening ceremony will be held on March 5.

"TAV Airports Holding" is not only responsible for the airport's retail area and its lease, the company also ensures duty-free trade.

The reconstruction of this area was launched at the start of 2011. It was initially planned that EUR 2 million (LVL 1.4 million) will be invested in it.
