Latvia is ranked first among 17 European and two U.S. cities – New York and Boston, followed by Prague, Budapest and Tallinn.

The research shows that Riga offers UK tourists the most for their money. Riga and Tallinn also offer the cheapest three-star hotel accommodation. The least expensive visits to museums and art galleries are in Riga, Dublin and Copenhagen.

The study included such criteria as – one night three-star hotel accommodation, top heritage attraction, museum and art gallery, sightseeing city bus tour, 48-hour travel card, return bus or train transfers from airport to city centre, and a three-course evening meal for two adults, including a bottle of wine.

On the other hand, the most expensive city is Stockholm, followed by New York, Boston and Copenhagen.
