Riga most popular with German, Spanish and Russian cruise liner passengers

German cruise liner passengers accounted for 45 percent of all cruise liner passengers serviced at Riga Port in the first six months this year, as the port informed the "Nozare.lv" business portal.

German cruise liner passengers accounted for 45 percent of all cruise liner passengers serviced at Riga Port in the first six months this year, as the port informed the "Nozare.lv" business portal.

Spanish and Russian travelers each accounted for 13 percent of the total cruise liner passenger number, and American tourists placed fourth with 11 percent.

Altogether, 92 cruise liners are to visit Riga Port this year. In the first six months, the port has already been visited by 34 cruise liners, which is 10 liners more than in the same period last year.

The number of cruise passengers visiting Riga this year has increased 30.7 percent to 26,000 passengers.
