Festival goers will have the opportunity to hear foreign and local saxophone stars play various types of jazz, classical, modern and world music styles.
The festival will feature wonderful concerts in various venues throughout Riga, including the Spikeri Concert Hall and the Great Guild Hall.
The festival itself will take place from today to until February 15.
The festival will also organize a competition for local saxophone students, master classes for Latvian Music Academy students, as well as some "Jazz Sessions" – informal jazz night.
The festival will open tonight with a concert at Saint John’s called "Spiritual Music", but its finale on February 15 will feature the Toulouse Symphony Orchestra.
