"Shashlik" usually consists of cubes of marinated meat skewed and cooked on a grill.
The record-winning "shashlik" was 149 meters and 50 centimeters long. The record was confirmed by a special commission, headed by actor Harijs Spanovskis.
Several tons of metal were used to make the grill. 500 kilograms of chicken "shashlik" were cooked on a specially-constructed 150-meter-long skewer.
