London’s electro dream-pop band The xx is one the most renowned bands of the past year, both by fans and music critics alike. Conqueringthe charts with their self titled debut „xx” (2009) the skilful and talented British musicians have forever changed the indie pop genre.

The raw, untamed energy of Crystal Castles front woman Alice Glass, who entices the crowds with her Goth siren vocals is definitely one of the most intriguing components of the band’s performance. The Canadian musician Alice Glass and producer Ethan Kath formed the band in 2004 and have been actively making critically acclaimed experimental electro beats ever since.

Foxesis the musical project of the promising British vocalist Louisa Rose Allen and guitarist/co-writer Sam Dixon. In 2011 Neon Gold Records released the band’s first two singles “Youth” and “Home”, followed by their first EP “Warrior”.

Formed in 2004, Austria’s ambient instrumental techno trio Elektro Guzzi are Bernhard Breuer, Bernhard Hammer and Jakob Schneidewind. The musicians don’t use computers, samples or loops for their performances, creating vibrant and lively techno music using only instruments.

One of Denmark’s most successful bands Efterklang, or reverberation (from Danish) is an alternative folk, pop and rock band from Copenhagen. Forming in the year 2000, the band consists of vocalist Casper Clausen, bassists Rasmus Stolberg and electronics guru Mads Brauer.

After a successful conclusion of two sold out performances at the Palladium Riga concert hall, the Latvian cult band of the 90’s Jauns Mēness (New Moon) will once again take the stage to celebrate the jubilee of their retrospective work throughout the years - this time – at the Positivus festival.
