  • Early Music Festival in Riga and Rundale
    The XVII International Early Music Festival will provide an opportunity for a contemporary person to experience Renaissance, Medieval and Baroque periods through music. The festival's concerts will take place from July 6 to 9 and will gather listeners in Riga’s Old Town churches and concert halls.
  • Ligo – summer solstice celebration
    Latvia is one of the few European countries where still today, just like hundreds of years ago, a celebration of the summer solstice is held. The shortest night of the year – from June 23 to 24, is spent in front of bonfires that burn bright until sunrise, singing Ligo-themed folk songs. Women and girls wear a crown of flowers on their heads, while men wear a crown of oak leaves.

    One of the brightest classical music events this summer – the eighth annual “Kremerata Baltica” Festival will take place in Sigulda from July 1 to 3.
  • Bauska Country Music Festival
    One of four regular international country music festivals in Europe takes place every summer in Bauska; this time the second weekend in July (8th and 9th). On the bill are the very best Baltic groups, and special guests “Hillbilly Deluxe” from Germany and “Modern Earl” from Nashville, USA.
  • Pop/rock festival "Positivus"
    “Positivus” Festival, which has in just a few years evolved into the biggest event of its kind in the Baltic region, will be held in seaside Salacgriva July 15 and 16 with another strong line-up featuring "James", "Editors", "Beach House", „Röyksopp”, also Mark Ronson and his group.
  • "Rigas ritmi" festival’s summer session
    The International Music Festival “Rigas ritmi” concerts for its summer session will be held in Riga on several stages June 30—July 2. This will be a great opportunity for jazz and ethno-music devotees to hear world-renowned artists, and their up-and-coming counterparts.
