LETA
"Nordea" Riga Marathon has been awarded the prestigious International Association of Athletics Federation's (IAAF) Road Race Bronze Label, becoming the first marathon in Northern Europe to receive this award, LETA was informed by "NECom" project manager Inese Kikule.

From September 9, a new ferry "Finnarow" will run in the line Luebeck-Ventspils-St.Petersburg. It will be more up-to-date and much larger than the current "Translubeka", which run in this route on Fridays.

Today, the supermarket chain "Maxima" starts selling the local "Doc Melbi" apples, supplied by "Baltijas darzeni".

A new yachting museum was opened at Kuivizu yacht club in Salacgriva Region on June 18. The museum features historical materials about yachting, honors, awards and certificates from the legendary Latvian yachtsman Jevgenijs Kanskis’ family archive.
