Allaži nature trails wind along landscape features and cultural historical objects, inter alia, special nature defense lands: Mežmuiža springs where seven springs form a river flowing into the mill lake and coast of Ezernieki – a lake that time to time disappears under the ground and the fills up with water again. Goat farm “Lielgrodes” is located in the territory of nature trails where owners offer to taste freshly prepared goat cheese. Routes accompanied by tour guides are suitable for different groups of visitors, they wind through NATURA 2000 territories, complex nature preserves - Mežmuiža springs (26 ha), coast of Ezernieki (60 ha), Mazie Kangari (340 ha). Tourism objects are located on the lands of private owners.
Rural municipality of Allaži created the Allaži nature trail in 2001. Currently Society of the development of Allaži performs supervision and control of the trails.
We kindly ask all the visitors of Allaži nature trails to protect nature and observe regulations concerning usage of the protected areas, as well as respect rights of the landowners.
