Valdis is a true master of his craft, and runs two workshops, in Krāslava and in the district, operating both a wood fuelled kiln and an electric kiln for urgent commissions. One of his latest projects – vases and jugs, fired this spring at Jasmuiža (the home of national poet Rainis), and bearing inscriptions of lines from folk poetry. An opportunity to take part in creating pottery items from the start to the very end – trying a hand at 'throwing' pots and taking part in firing a kiln. Various kinds of ceramic ware, souvenirs and garden ceramics can be purchased. Activities for individual visitors, families, or larger groups.
