Gulbene District History and Art Museum

The museum has built its collections with a focus on the history of the town and district of Gulbene from olden times to the present days.  In 2004, the museum holdings contained over 52 thousand items. The most valuable collections are those of glass photograph negatives (more than 14 thousand units), photo postcards, postcards, ethnography items, household vessels, documents. The holdings are used for exhibitions, events, research. The Gulbene District History and Art Museum takes care of two former manor buildings – a conservatory accommodating exhibition rooms, the holdings, and office space, as well as a granary with holdings open to the public.
