The Forest Park was planted in 1966 in order to shield the city from the dust clouds coming from a dolomite quarry. When the quarries occupying 158 ha of the area were flooded in 1987, the city and its vicinity gained free space for recreation facilities. Now the area accommodates a swimming-place, a swing, a wellness trail, volleyball courts, and a campsite. The Forest Park is also the location of the Great Stone of Radži - 3,1m high, 19,5m wide, 220 t of weight – lying on one of the islands in the water reservoir.
