The museum, located in the restored family house of the former president Kārlis Ulmanis, the founder of the Latvian state, was opened in 1993. It is a rural farmstead of the 1930s which represents the agricultural development of Latvia at the time. The exposition commemorates the life of K. Ulmanis, his ideas, contribution to the state and his political activities.
