Lucavsala is the second island in the Daugava River that one crosses when driving from Riga downtown to Pārdaugava over the Salu (Island) bridge. To the right is tidy Lucavsala beach and recreation area, the realm of winds and water.
Lucavsala’s territory is divided into multiple sports and recreation zones, including various playgrounds and play parks for kids. The clean beach is excellent for sunbathing or trying more extreme activity, such as wakeboarding.
The warm summer evenings are perfect to attend the concerts that often take place in Lucavsala and, thanks to the broad variety of music genres represented there, are frequented by many Rigans.
