The Romanesque style interior has been created by the Decorative Woodworking Department students at Riga Secondary School of Arts and Crafts as their qualification project - and a gift to the Malnava congregation and the town of Kārsava.
Head of Department and project manager – Arvīds Verza. Designer – Maija Avota. Consultant – Ojārs Spārītis.
On 5 October 2003, the church was consecrated by the Bishop of Rēzekne-Aglona Diocese, Jānis Bulis.
