Malnava Roman Catholic Church
The foundation of the church was laid in 1932 under the auspices of priest Boļeslavs Grišāns. From 1995 to 2000, under the leadership of priest Jāzeps Aglonietis, by the efforts of the congregation and with donated funding the church was built as originally designed.
The Romanesque style interior has been created by the Decorative Woodworking Department students at Riga Secondary School of Arts and Crafts as their qualification project - and a gift to the Malnava congregation and the town of Kārsava.
Head of Department and project manager – Arvīds Verza. Designer – Maija Avota. Consultant – Ojārs Spārītis.
On 5 October 2003, the church was consecrated by the Bishop of Rēzekne-Aglona Diocese, Jānis Bulis.
