Mazsalaca District Museum

In the Mazsalaca District Museum, visitors can view not only Valters Hirte's sculptures depicting the sculptor's friends, companions, family members, but also the artist's tools. The route leads on to his 'devilish' world, where those cuddly, naughty, sly little devils sit perched both in the willows and up in the attic, and tell us many a good story. Devil's socks have been hung by a devilishly warm and cozy stove ledge.

The exhibition hall of the Mzasalaca museum also hosts themed exhibitions. Many newlyweds and wedding guests have confessed their sins and sworn oaths to the museum's little devils.
