The Russian House

The Russian House provides information about Russian religious and folk holidays, Russian folk customs and traditions, Russian handicraft, the history of Russian folk costumes, and about the Russian community in Latvia seen from historical and cultural perspectives.

"The Fairy-Tale Garden" comprises 17 sculptures of Russian folk-tale heroes carved out by the artist and sculptor Pyotr Khudobchonok whose works have been given away as presents to such eminencies as Pope John Paul II, Margaret Thatcher, Mikhail Gorbachev and George Bush.
