Viļaka Roman Catholic Church of the Holiest Jesus Heart

An architectural monument of national importance containing such objects of national art heritage as the pipe organ and 13 stained glass windows. Objects of local art heritage – 3 altars, a pulpit, 2 crucifixes, a chandelier, painting "The Heart of Jesus”, painting "Saint Aloysius”.

The church was built in 1884-1891 according to the project devised by the Riga Polytechnic Institute engineer, MSc of construction Florians Viganovskis, and under his supervision. Architecture connoisseurs call it "a Gothic rose". The 22-register pipe organ was made by the Blomberg brothers in Warsaw.
