They remember as sons, but tell as actors, thus drawing a link between theatre and instinct, art and life, simulation and contradiction. Just like numerous Jewish intellectuals, also Singer had to leave the Old World during the war to go to the United States of America. The road to the New World and life there is often also reflected in Singer's stories, and also “Späte Nachbarn” tells about that.
Every year the most famous works, as well as premieres of Latvian composers are performed at the concert by Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andris Veismanis, Latvian National Opera Orchestra (conductor Aigars Meri), Latvian National Symphony Orchestra (conductor Normunds Šnē), as well as Artūrs Kazlausks (saxophone).
