December – the month of surprises

Meal in any of the restaurants will be a pleasant surprise, because there are special dishes and recipes for Christmas time in Latvian cuisine: peas with bacon, pates, sweet and spicy gingerbread cookies, roast, stewed cabbage, lamprey, lightly salted salmon, groat sausage with lingonberry jam, nut-shaped cookies with sweet milk cream.
