The first concert took place in 2002, and, so far, two Latvian representatives have won it - the Cosmos vocal group and Intars Busulis. The annual New Wave competition gathers together many Russian and world-famous stars, for example, Enrique Iglesias (in 2006) and Swedish pop group Roxette (in 2009).
