International Airport "Riga" reaches new passenger record

RIGA, June 21 (NOZARE.LV) - The state-owned International Airport "Riga" serviced 20,250 passengers on June 17, which was a new record of passengers serviced per day, "Nozare.lv" was informed by the airport's spokeswoman Sarmite Bunka-Brilijonka.

RIGA, June 21 (NOZARE.LV) - The state-owned International Airport "Riga" serviced 20,250 passengers on June 17, which was a new record of passengers serviced per day, "Nozare.lv" was informed by the airport's spokeswoman Sarmite Bunka-Brilijonka.

The most favorite destinations that day were London, Moscow, Frankfurt, Helsinki and Stockholm.

This past May, the airport handled 478,423 passengers, which is 17 percent more than in the respective period last year, when 410,423 travelers were served.
