The Riga Tourism Development Bureau (RTDB) has prepared the first professional meeting and convention planner’s guide in English for conference, congress and corporate event organizers. The MEET RĪGA catalogue collates essential information about opportunities for holding conferences, congresses and corporate events in Riga and Latvia. The information about Latvia is presented in co-operation with the Tourism Development State Agency (TAVA), Cesis, Daugavpils, Jurmala, Liepaja, Sigulda and Ventspils tourism development and information centres.

The Riga Tourism Development Bureau with the MEET RĪGA brand promotes the initiatives for Riga to become the conference tourism centre of the Baltic region. The catalogue is a supplement to participation in the most significant Meeting industry’s exhibitions and a business card of the www.MeetRiga.com Riga conference tourism portal,” adds Aigars Smiltāns, MEET RĪGA Account Executive.

The MEET RĪGA catalogue collates information about leading hotels and event locations, ferry lines, transportation companies and DMCs specializing in servicing conferences, congresses and corporate groups. It also contains news on more than 30 different providers of services for organizing conferences, congresses and corporate events.

The MEET RĪGA Meeting and convention planner’s guide to Riga & Latvia is to be distributed at the two most important European exhibitions for conference and corporate events organizers – IMEX in Frankfurt from May 24 till May 26 and EIBTM in Barcelona from November 29 till December 1. Issues of the Meeting and Convention Planner’s Guide to Riga & Latvia are co-financed by TAVA and financially supported by ERDF. The catalogue will be sent by post to interested people working in the industry.
