The number of passengers transported by "Lux Express" in 2016 has grown by 11.4%
More and more tourists choose to travel by the comfortable coach traffic connecting the Baltic States with many other countries.
In 2016, Estonian passenger carriage firm "Lux Express" transported 2,179,976 passengers, by 11.4% exceeding the number of the previous year.
"Data shows that by providing quality transport and convenient schedule, as well as competitive price, more travellers choose to travel by coach," says the company.
"Lux Express Group" is the largest international coach operator with the greatest number of routes in the Baltic region.
"Lux Express" coaches connect the Latvian capital Riga both with the largest Russian cities – Moscow and Saint Petersburg, as well as with Minsk (Belarus); Warsaw, Poznan, Krakow and other cities in Poland; also, cities in Czech Republic, Prague and Brno; Bratislava in Slovakia; the capital of Austria, Vienna; and Berlin in Germany.
Especially active traffic takes place between the passengers of Latvia and both neighbouring Baltic States, Estonia and Lithuania.
"Lux Express" observes that the number of businessmen choosing to travel to their business trip destinations by coach has increased.
Company owns a total of 56 comfortable "Lux Express", "Lux Express Lounge", and "Lux Express Special" coaches.
Company "Lux Express" has implemented the dynamic price model that allows the passengers to purchase tickets for more profitable prices if they plan their trips in advance. In 2016, the tickets sold online reached 73% of the total amount.
