Composer Praulins among "Echo Klassik" award winners

Ugis Praulins' "The Nightingale", one of four compositions featured on recorder virtuoso Michala Petri's and the Danish National Vocal Ensemble's CD, has just earned a 2012 "Echo Klassik" award in the category "World Premiere Recording of the Year".

Ugis Praulins' "The Nightingale", one of four compositions featured on recorder virtuoso Michala Petri's and the Danish National Vocal Ensemble's CD, has just earned a 2012 "Echo Klassik" award in the category "World Premiere Recording of the Year".

"The Nightingale", a 27-minute long piece for a 20-singer chorus, is among three other works by Sunleif Rasmussen, Daniel Bortz and Peter Bruun.
