Museum collection contains many pieces telling visitors about life in the health resort from the end of the 19th century until today, the largest swimwear collection in Latvia, old postcards of Jūrmala, works of famous painters, pieces of underwater archaeology, as well as gift shop.

Collection mainly consists of women’s swimsuits of the 20th century. They are predominant, since women have likely been more active in both buying and wearing swimsuits. These are also the best-preserved swimsuits, for a real lady does not wear the same swimsuit for more than one season.

Exhibition “Ships in depth” tells the story of destinies of ships, warships and submarines significant for our country, as well as of Latvian navigation. Families with children can spend a nice afternoon in the cosy museum café when throwing children’s and family parties. Families can celebrate these events not only with coffee and big pretzel but also going on a treasure hunt on shipwrecks.
