Ceramic Artist Aivars Ušpelis

A farmstead having a distinctive feel, with a pottery workshop, paintings by the artist's wife, a collection of antiques. The owner, a man of an attractive personality, is one of the four members of the "Pūdnīku skūla" (Potters' School) group and builds his work on ancient tradition.

Visitors to the workshop can witness ceramic wares being created from throwing a pot to firing pottery in a wood-fuelled kiln. A display of the artist's works for viewing and buying. An opportunity to have a go at throwing a pot. A collection of old clothes irons, farm tools and household object from the nearest neighbourhood.
