The permanent expositions of Jūrmala Museum tell about the city and life by the sea, about the atmosphere of the resort, lifestyle and history of swimming, popularizing the unique cultural and historical heritage of Jūrmala, as well as the history of Riga Jūrmala and Ķemeri resorts from the 18th to the 21st century.

The museum opened in 1962. Its values ​​are Mārtiņš Pormans' art collection and collection, which is related to the history and culture of the resort, the everyday life of the locals. The collection is especially proud of the old Jurmala postcards and the largest swimwear collection in Latvia.

Jurmala Museum has three branches - Aspazija House in Dubulti, Jurmala Open-Air Museum in Lielupe and Bulduri Exhibition House.
