From 11 to 13 September, Dzintari Concert Hall will host the 23rd Kremerata Baltica Festival, bringing together Gidon Kremer, the Kremerata Baltica chamber orchestra and outstanding Latvian and international musicians for three concerts. The festival will open on 11 September with a programme celebrating the 80th anniversary of Pēteris Vasks and the 120th anniversary of Jānis Ivanovs, followed on 12 September by a chamber music evening combining the sound of the violin with tango. On 13 September, the festival will conclude with the gala concert “Gidon Kremer and Friends”. Across the three evenings, music by Latvian composers will meet works from different periods and musical traditions, performed by Gidon Kremer, Kremerata Baltica and the festival’s guest artists.
