The Lokstene Shrine of the Latvijas Dievturu sadraudze, consecrated in 2017, is located on an island on the Daugava River near Pļaviņas. Available for pilgrims and visitors from May to October, crossing the river by ferry or boat accompanied by a guide. The traditional rites of passage (namesgiving and wedding), annual rites, exaltations, and national celebrations of Latvian ethnic religion — Dievturība — are officiated here.
