In a small town, there is a street named in honor of Jānis Ziemeļnieks, a romantic dreamer, poet, and photographer who lived here in the past century. Perhaps the charm of this name reflects the inspiration we felt while developing and realizing our dream of building cabins by the Gauja River.
The cabins are located at Jānis Ziemeļnieks Street 10, in a very quiet and peaceful part of the town. While staying here, you won't feel like you're in a city, yet a shop and public transport are conveniently nearby. Uniquely, our location is accessible by both land and water transport.
Outside the cabin windows flows the longest river in Latvia, the Gauja, beloved not only by water tourists and trail hikers but also by anglers.
Right by the cabin doors begins the Gauja Nature Trail. Strolling along its picturesque paths, you'll pass by the Strenči open-air stage and a wooden sculpture park. On the Gauja riverbank, you'll be greeted by a large wooden figure with an uplifted hand—a local symbol and a special tribute to the Gauja raftsman.
