  2. THE DIFFERENT OFFERINGS OF THE THREE MUSEUMS

 

The Art Museum “Riga Stock Exchange”, the Latvian National Museum of Art and the “Ola Foundation” offer permanent exhibitions, temporary exhibitions, educational and entertaining events, space rental, other activities and services.

 

„RIGAS BOURSE”

The Art Museum “Rigas Bourse” houses the largest collection of foreign art in the Baltics, the creation of which was initiated by the mayors, merchants and burghers of Riga in the 19th century. Currently, the museum regularly hosts international exhibition projects and cultural and artistic events.

Premises. The museum premises are suitable for conferences, corporate events, concerts, theatre performances, seminars, etc.

Large Exhibition Hall

The space is available for rent, only between exhibitions, by applying at least six months before the event. It is possible to organise various types of corporate events, dinners at tables. Area: 468.48 m2.

Capacity: 350 people for a standing event. Approximately 200 people for concerts. 100-120 people for dinners at tables.

Accessibility: The space can be accessed using a ramp (slope 8.3%).

Portrait Salon

The space is suitable for smaller events. There is an auxiliary room next to the salon.

Area: 62.49 m2.

Capacity: up to 25 people.

Accessibility: The space is located on the 5th floor. There is an elevator, after which you must use the steps both up and down. There is a small staff elevator that takes you directly to the salon.

Ātrijs

A space where you can organise various types of private or public events – concerts, ceremonies, seminars, etc.

Area: 171.83 m2.

Capacity: up to 200 people (or 90 seats).

Accessibility: The space is accessible from two entrance doors of the museum, the path to them is paved.

Šāra-Kavicela cellars

The premises are suitable for various workshops, interest clubs, as well as private and public events for a small number of guests. There is an auxiliary room next to it.

Area: 104.5 m2.

Capacity: up to 40 people (approximately 30 seats).

Accessibility: The premises can be reached using an elevator.

Conference hall

The premises are suitable and technically equipped for conferences, seminars, meetings, readings, etc.

Area: 63.91 m2 (hall) and 34.98 m2 (entrance hall).

Capacity: up to 75 seats.

Accessibility: The premises are located on the 3rd floor. There is an elevator, after which you must use the steps up.

An entrance hall with a kitchen is available for coffee breaks, registrations, etc.

 

LATVIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ART

The permanent exhibition of the Latvian National Museum of Art “Latvian Art. 19th-20th Century” for the first time covers the overall picture of the history of Latvian art throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.

The exhibition is in the museum's historic building and is arranged on two floors. It is laid out chronologically/stylistically, sequentially reflecting the general development of the history of Latvian art and with characteristic groups of works and unique masterpieces.

Premises. The museum premises are suitable for conferences, corporate events, concerts, theatre performances, seminars, etc.

2nd and 3rd floor lobby with marble staircase

Area: 2nd floor lobby – 250 m2; 3rd floor lobby – 220 m2.

Capacity: 150 people for a standing event, 80 people for dinner at tables.  

Conference hall

The room on the 1st floor of the museum is suitable and technically equipped with stationary presentation equipment (screen, projector, computer) for conferences, seminars, meetings, readings and other events.

Area: 100 m2.

Capacity: up to 60 - 80 seats.  

Library

The interior of the historical library of the Latvian National Museum of Art, which has remained unchanged since the beginning of the 20th century, features eclecticism and Art Nouveau. The design of the library is dominated by oak wood (columns supporting the second floor, stairs, railings, doors, bookcases), which gives elegance to the small room. The library is suitable for ceremonial or official meetings, small press conferences and other small-format events.

Area: 50 m2.

Capacity: 10 - 20 people.

 

„OLA FOUNDATION”

The cultural space „Ola Foundation” is a creative residence for art, music, educational projects, discussion platforms, seminars, working groups, meditation practices, excursions and other events. The „Ola Foundation” complex consists of the Ola central building and the Residence or design hotel with 10 rooms. It also offers space rental for corporate events of various formats and scales.

Art Gallery. In the basement of the Ola building there is a 300 m2 large Art Gallery. The space is suitable for ceremonial receptions for up to 100 people.

The 1st floor is suitable for seminars, small conferences, presentations. All the technological equipment necessary for seminars is available. 90 seats. In addition to the seminar hall, there are 2 discussion rooms (6-8 seats) and a room for coffee breaks. In the centre or core of the 1st floor there is a Meditation Room with a capacity of 24 meditation seats.

On the 2nd floor there is a Music Salon with a Steinway & Sons piano, a professionally equipped kitchen and a gift shop. The premises are suitable for various types of social events, chamber concerts, presentations and dinners. There is a capacity of either 100 people for a reception-format event, 90 seats for concerts, or 50 people for dinner at tables with chairs.

The Ola Foundation offers independent or guided visits to the complex and current exhibitions.

Accessibility. The complex has space for 4 cars. An electric car charging station is available, and there is a bicycle storage room. Free parking is available near the building. The building is suitable for people with special needs, and there is an elevator in the building. In the summer, the Ola Garden is suitable for social events and garden festivals.
