From 23 October to 1 November, Jelgava will host the traditional Autumn Restaurant Week in the Jelgava Region. This year’s event will mark the 370th anniversary of the potato being introduced to the table at the Duke’s Court. To celebrate the occasion, fifteen restaurants and cafés will invite guests to discover the humble potato in unexpected flavour combinations, paired with other seasonal vegetables and nature’s bounty.
The Restaurant Week campaign continues an established tradition, offering local residents and visitors an opportunity to discover – or rediscover – the diverse culinary scene of Jelgava and Jelgava Municipality. Special autumn dishes will be served, featuring ingredients sourced from the land, forests and waters. Guests will have the chance to savour dishes that go beyond the usual everyday menus and explore new culinary combinations.
The campaign aims to encourage visitors to discover new dining venues while enjoying a specially curated and well-balanced three-course meal.
The campaign menus, as well as the opening hours of participating restaurants and cafés, are available at www.visit.jelgava.lv and on the Visit Jelgava social media channels. Guests are encouraged to reserve their tables in advance to ensure they can enjoy the special offers prepared for the campaign.
Restaurant Week in the Jelgava Region take place twice a year – in spring and autumn. The event is organised by the Jelgava Regional Tourism Information Centre in cooperation with the City of Jelgava, Jelgava Municipality, the Jelgava Association of Hospitality and Catering Industry and local restaurants and cafés.
