The Staro Rīga light festival is a multi-day exhibition of urban objects that uses modern light and video technologies to transform Riga's landscape through illumination, at a time when Latvia celebrates its statehood.
Interactive and experimental objects and multimedia performances in the urban environment will mark the international trend of light art away from screen-scale video projections. They will be replaced by site-specific spatial projections, 3D mappings of different scales according to the urban objects of the site and projections on the ground.
