Zuzeum celebrates its 5th birthday with a festive two-day program!

On the 6 and 7 September, Zuzeum Art Museum marks its 5th birthday since opening. The celebration is dedicated to the entire Zuzeum community — the team, artists and curators, partners, and most importantly, visitors.

Over two festive days, the program will include concerts, creative workshops, special guided tours, and other celebratory events. During the weekend, visitors will be able to enjoy a late-morning coffee with KALVE Coffee accompanied by vinyl music from DJ Hele, and later join an exclusive tour through the museum’s offices. The first day celebrations will continue on the rooftop terrace with live music from Daydream Jazz and delicious sandwiches from BITE ME.

On Sunday morning join a meditative concert by composer and percussionist Rihards Zaļupe, enriched by herbal teas from PLŪKT, and MÁDARA Cosmetics will add beauty and nature to the moment. Later, children are invited to a creative workshop to build and decorate a giant birthday cake from cardboard, using papers of different colors and textures. The birthday is also a time for giving, and this year Zuzeum will be raising funds for the Children’s Hospital programme “Veseļojies ar prieku”.

The anniversary coincides with the final week of the Austrian sculptor Erwin Wurm’s first solo exhibition in Latvia – How It Is. It is a great opportunity to experience the show and stay for the festivities. To conclude the celebration, guests are invited to join a guided tour of the exhibition.
