From 10 to 12 September, the Riga International Exhibition Centre in Ķīpsala will host Riga Food 2026, the largest food industry exhibition in the Baltic States. For more than 30 years, this major event has served as a key meeting point for the industry and a platform for new business ideas, professional networking and successful business deals.

The internationally recognised exhibition highlights the latest developments in the food industry each year, showcases innovative products and provides opportunities to establish direct contacts between manufacturers, distributors and service providers. The official opening ceremony will take place on 11 September at 11:00, traditionally featuring an address by the Minister for Agriculture of the Republic of Latvia.

Global Reach and a Strong Business Environment

Riga Food 2026 stands out for its strong international presence, bringing together more than 425 companies from 32 countries worldwide, alongside a wide range of national pavilions. The exhibition will feature 13 national stands, showcasing the competitiveness and diversity of producers from around the world. For industry professionals, the event provides a focused environment for networking and business development. Professional visitor registration is already open, and the official event programme is available to help attendees plan their visit in advance. Companies can also take part in the international B2B matchmaking event, designed to facilitate connections with new business partners and clients from around the world. Registration for exhibitors also remains open, offering businesses an opportunity to present their brands to a broad professional audience. Meanwhile, the Novada Garša exhibition will showcase the value of local food production and highlight the potential of Latvia’s regions.

Innovation and Solutions for the HoReCa Sector

Advances in food technology and packaging are an integral part of the exhibition. This year, companies will showcase innovative solutions, with All Glass presenting its new PLUS app for packaging technologies, while Faro Group will introduce the latest packaging equipment and materials. For professionals in the HoReCa sector, industry players such as Prāna Ko and ORCA will offer a wide range of specialised clothing, footwear and kitchen equipment. Food safety and quality control will also be in focus, with BIOKOM Trendafilov presenting rapid testing solutions for assessing the quality of milk and grain. All registered companies can be easily found in the exhibition’s official exhibitor catalogue.

Professional Competitions and Networking

Riga Food 2026 will showcase the excitement and high standards of the industry through a variety of competitions, shows and championships. Some of the region’s finest chefs, pastry chefs, bartenders and tea masters will demonstrate their skills and expertise. This year, particular emphasis will be placed on gastronomic events, including the grand finale of the Grill Duels and the first-ever charity grill brunch. Meanwhile, the prestigious The Baltic Taste Award competition will recognise and reward the finest food products from across the Baltic States, helping to raise their profile in international export markets.

Riga Food 2026 is an important event for every food industry professional looking to improve business efficiency, as well as for food enthusiasts eager to discover new flavours and culinary experiences. Tickets are already available online, allowing visitors to secure their attendance at one of the industry’s largest events. The exhibition is organised by the international exhibition company BT 1 in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Latvian Packaging Association – an organisation founded in 1995 that brings together Latvian packaging manufacturers, distributors and industry experts.
