VALMIERMUIŽA CRAFT BREWERY invites you to the beer evening “In Search of the Roots of Beer” on 16 October at 19:00. Enjoy fascinating stories from the history of beer and taste full-bodied brews paired with carefully selected snacks from the Valmiermuiža Beer Kitchen.
Atis Everss is a certified beer sommelier and an exceptional storyteller of flavours. His experience at Valmiermuiža Craft Brewery, combined with the knowledge he has gained around the world, allows him to pair beer and food like a melody in which every nuance matters.
During the beer evening, Atis will take you on a journey through the twists and turns of beer history, introducing you to the diversity of beer flavours and styles, the origins of beer and its significance in Latvian culture. He will invite beer enthusiasts to explore flavours through different senses, helping them understand how particular aromas, colours and flavour combinations are created. To experience history not only through stories but also through taste, the masterclass will feature five beers paired with specially selected snacks:
- Valmiermuiža Pilsner paired with beer bread topped with lightly salted zander.
- Valmiermuiža Unfiltered Amber Lager paired with a sweet-and-sour rye bread toast topped with herb cottage cheese and lightly salted herring.
- Valmiermuiža Golden Lager paired with pork belly braised in beer.
- Valmiermuiža Abbey Ale paired with whipped goat cheese and oven-roasted beetroot.
- Valmiermuiža Baltic Porter paired with crumbled honey sponge cake topped with caramel and beer ice cream.
